What´s Rocket
ROCKET has collaborated with number of up-and-coming creators throughout these 12 years since the start at Doujunkai Aoyama Apartment in 1996. After moving three times, it is re-opening in Jingu mae, Harajuku on October 3, 2008.
■ ABOUT NEW "ROCKET" ■
On October 3, 2008, ROCKET is coming back to Jingu-mae, Harajuku. The re-opening "ROCKET" will not be a gallery. This is what we thought - fashion and art met atmosphere of the new era, and people need a space where they can enjoy, like they are turning pages of a magazine. When you think of a place or a thing, where people of a same kind gather around, that would be select-shops and magazines. Maybe there are communities like that on the web as well. But "ROCKET" is a real, existing space. Whenever a person comes around, person can meet the mood of the moment. That is the new "ROCKET."
■ ABOUT THE ARCHITECTURE ■
ROCKET architecture is renovating the former building of ROCKET few years ago. The dimensions inside will be 20 square meters with 9 meters high ceilings. It will be a one-floor space with great vertical space.
